"Memory of Color" is an exhibition by Jaime Ocampo-Rangel in collaboration with Aima Saint Hunon, which explores the fragility and disappearance of authentic ethnicities through a unique and ephemeral art installation.
Aima Saint Hunon sculpted two characters of different ethnicities based on Jaime Ocampo-Rangel's photographs.
These sculptures, made of ice, were exhibited during the opening.
During the event, the sculptures melted, poignantly symbolizing the gradual disappearance of authentic ethnic cultures.
This exhibition aims to raise awareness about the loss of unique cultural traditions and identities that are disappearing.
Using the metaphor of melting sculptures, the artists invite visitors to reflect on the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural diversity before it is completely erased.
"Memory of Color" is a visual and emotional experience that leaves a lasting mark, reminding everyone of the urgency to protect and value the endangered ethnic groups.
